Hey there!! How ya doing? Treatment #2 was on 6/28. I had some girl time with my sister!

Everything went smoothly on the day of treatment. And we had a fantastic dinner after! It was precious time spent together!

Side effects this time around are different from treatment #1. Fatigue, irritability, foggy brain, noise sensitivity. I still have pineapple tongue which got a bit worse. I called my dentist who gave me a prescription mouth wash called “magic mouthwash”. It wasn’t covered by insurance 🙄 and cost $56 😳, but it’s helping a ton! I also saw my endocrinologist who is going to check my thyroid numbers to see if an adjustment of my medicine is needed as I have experienced these symptoms before. (I ended up with hypothyroidism after I had immunotherapy for the first time in 2019-2020 and experienced similar symptoms when my numbers were off) My lab appt to have my thyroid numbers looked at is Monday, 7/11/22, because I needed to be off my vitamins for a few days before labs are drawn. So I should know next week if a medication adjustment is needed — side note, if you take biotin it affects your thyroid numbers when you have labs drawn, for me it showed my numbers were fine when in reality they were way off.

Thanks for your prayers! I really couldn’t walk this journey without your prayers and love carrying me through. ♥️ Please also pray for my husband and kiddos. This is hitting them as well. My youngest daughter had an emotional night last night with it all. ♥️

    Hey there sweet mama! Thinking of you with a smile in my heart. Praying for you, your hubby, and all those precious kiddos! God is doing mighty things in and through you. I know this is hard and it truly does stink, but be encouraged that you are loved and there is purpose in it all.

      Have you heard of Suleika Jauoud? She has a book out about her cancer battle. She also writes a weekly journal that you can subscribe to; documenting her second battle with cancer. (Suleika Jauoud’s “The Isolation Journals”). She is married to singer/songwriter Jon Batiste. Also very inspiring…..
